With Betts / Castillo / others already in the fold, I think we’re just a bit of a ways away from the team moving on, and Bradley getting a good shot at work in another org.

It’s an artifact of small sample sizes, and that the best clutch hitters tend to be the best hitters overall.

If you’re worried about clutch hitting, that’s like worrying about the planet getting hit by an asteroid. It’s almost entirely out of everyone’s control.

Our friend Panda is sporting .2 WARP on the season, and still has the lowest True Average of his career.

The overall numbers are what needs to improve, and they will if he keeps up his hot streak.

One of the biggest reasons Red Sox can’t score is lack of clutch hitting. Amazingly 6 Red Sox are in the “bottom 20″ for clutch hitting with Ramirez worst (Napoli – 8, Castillo -13, Holt -14, Ortiz -18, and Pedroia – 19). I’m sure those pass the eye test for most. The only Red Sox in the top clutch hitters are Bogarts at 10 and Betts and 43.

Last ten games: 38 at-bats with 16 hits, six doubles, a triple and a homer. That is a .421/.421/.711 slash line and a 1.132 OPS.

I would say that he has improved his production.
