Roger is likely, no surely, the best pitcher to ever take the mound. He is also a loyal friend, father, husband and plain good guy.

Keeping him from his just rewards based on hear say that in fact he addressed and won in court make wimpy baseball writers who are not athletes a total farce as a voting electorate for true athletes of excellence

I never saw Roger pitch at Fenway because I lived in Oakland in the 80s, but I have a sort of great memory of seeing him pitch at the Coliseum. Hanging big red K's from the grandstand wall wasn't a thing yet, and I think maybe it might have started because of Roger. Anyway they were hanging them in Oakland that day. An African-American guy sitting next to me was already getting visibly and audibly anxious when he saw the second K go up, and when the third went up a minute later he was literally out of his seat and ready to go kick some cracker butt. I quickly explained the thing about Clemens and the 20 K game and pleaded with him to wait for me to be proven right when the 4th one inevitably went up. Roger didn't disappoint and the 4th K was up in a matter of minutes. At least the guy believed me, but he still muttered, "they should have known better". Which today they do, as I see that the 3rd K is now always hung backwards.
