The starting pitching stinks beyond Price - ERod has upside. But how do you have any faith whatsover in Porcello, Kelly and Buchholz. Each one of them gets flat out shelled about half the time - and then maddening go through shut the front door stretches for a month or more. The bullpen has improved dramatically from last year's "gasoline fed fiasco" - but that is not going to be enough to contend with this roster make-up. Need to make a trade.

"I looked into this comment and found that since 1995 only 20 teams (including the 2015 Red Sox) have finished in the top four in their league in runs scored and finished in fourth or fifth place in their division."

20 times in 20 years. So it happens, on average, every single year. One of the 8 teams who are league-top-4 in runs scored finishes 4th or 5th in their division. 12.5%. I agree that's not a good thing to have a 12th percentile W-L record among high-scoring teams, but it's not as shocking as you tried to make it sound. It happens, on average, every single year.
