Wasn’t the Yankees going to try the same thing when A-rod was coming back from a year suspension? Obviously, he actually does work out and he was able to play very well last year. I guess the question is, what are the parameters that the Red Sox could use to go down this route? Just how out of shape does he need to be, to be declared ineligible? Wonder if behind the scenes they’re wondering the same thing!
