I couldnt disagree more. This isnt just about the Regular season, its about what works in the Post Season and the last few years have shown us that you Must have at least 1 guy who can come in and blow people away, the Red Sox DONT currently have that guy and re-signing burn outs like Tazawa or Uehara wont bring that to them either. I love Koji but its time to walk away. Tazawa, no way in H*ll. They Must sign Chapman above any other relief arm. A Bullpen of Kelly, Chapman, Kimbrel would not only be high velocity but lethal as well. Dombrowski generally doesnt worry about losing a pick and the Red Sox have money so theres no worry there, in other words there is NO reason for them Not to spend big money on Chapman. In fact if they dont their idiots. Instead of spending big on Encarnacion I believe theyll sign Chapman, sign a catcher like Lucroy and add a platoon lefty hitter to play with Young (maybe Reddick). Theyll then use Jackie, among others, in trade for a top Starter, like Sale. These are the steps they need to make to be a real Championship contender, not bringing back the status quo, which will get them No where.
