The clusterfark signing of Hanley and Pablo is one of the great lows in modern baseball history, and its arc hangs heavy for at least two years to come.   The Sox should pay any AL team that needs a DH $18 to $20MM  of Hanley&#039;s 2018 salary to get rid of him.  That would create space on the 25-man for JDM, or, if that collapses, Swihart if the Sox want to give him the opportunity, or possibly J. Barfield, who showed real thump in a short time in the Sox minors in 2017.]]></description>
